Why Coffee Tastes Better After 3 Reheats

(and Other Lies We Tell Ourselves)

Let’s talk about one of the great myths of motherhood:
“I’ll just drink this cup while it’s still hot.”

Ha.
Haha.
HAHAHA.
Good one.

The reality? Most of us are sipping lukewarm leftovers from a mug we microwaved for the third time, with a baby on one hip and a dog barking at a leaf outside.

And somewhere along the way, we’ve convinced ourselves that it still tastes... kinda okay?

Here are a few of our favorite coffee lies, told with love—and caffeine.

☕ Lie #1: “It tastes better after the third reheat.”

Sure, if “better” means burnt with a hint of sippy cup backwash.
But do we still drink it?
Absolutely. Because desperate times call for reheated measures.

☕ Lie #2: “I probably don’t need coffee today.”

Said no mom, ever.
(Except maybe before she realized she’d forgotten it was picture day. Again.)

☕ Lie #3: “I’ll finish this cup before it gets cold.”

Unless your toddler takes a 45-minute nap while the stars align, this is an impossible dream.
It’s okay. We believe in dreams and microwave-safe mugs.

☕ Lie #4: “One cup will be enough.”

Let’s all laugh together.
Because by 10 a.m., we’ve brewed a second pot and are contemplating whether quarter caff counts as hydration.

☕ Lie #5: “I’ll switch to decaf after this cup.”

We love our Mommy’s Night Off decaf for winding down—but during the day? We’re out here running on Survival Blend and hope.

☕ Lie #6: “I can quit coffee anytime.”

Sure. Right after we teach toddlers not to throw yogurt.
Some battles just aren’t worth fighting.

☕ Lie #7: “The mug doesn’t matter.”

Oh, but it does.
Your favorite mug?
It makes even the coldest coffee taste better. It holds power. It holds your sanity.
It holds… yesterday’s sip? Oh well.

💛 Truth: You Deserve a Fresh Cup

Here’s what’s not a lie:
You deserve to drink good coffee—yes, even if it’s reheated.
You deserve options that match your day (and your level of tired).
And you deserve to laugh at the chaos and sip anyway.

That’s why we created Mommy Needs A Fix—because moms don’t just need coffee.
We need real-life, honest, laugh-through-the-mess kind of coffee.

Whether you’re sipping full caff to survive or cozying up with decaf at night, we’re here for every cup—even the third reheat.
